3. Improper selection of rollers. The selection of rolls for the 850 rolling mill should be based on strength and toughness, supplemented by hardness and wear resistance. For example, cast iron rollers are prone to breakdown.

4. Ductile fracture. The fracture shape of this kind of roller is mostly "mushroom head", and the roller body near the fracture is crushed.

5. Whether the motor speed is too large. Generally, rolls have a process of eliminating prestress, which is often overlooked. Take into account that sometimes the uncoiled rolls will jam themselves.

6. Premature unpacking, excessive stress, resulting in fracture.

7. The cold mold is too thin and the cooling rate is too fast, resulting in stress fracture.

Chilled cast iron rolls have the advantages of high hardness, good wear resistance, and good thermal fatigue resistance, and are widely used in plate, wire and bar rolling mills. The Chilled Cast Iron Roll Material Contains a Large Amount of Carbide, which is composed of Pearlite + CEMENTITE + LEDeb Urite. The Hardness of the Roll Itself Can Reach ABove 65Hrc. Moreover, there are oftects such as some impurities and hard spots in the roll blank.When the tool is used for processing, the defects of the roll itself will cause severe impact on the tool, and the cutting temperature will increase the wear of the tool, so it is a kind of difficult-to-machine material.

The surface structure of the chilled cast iron roll is white, hard and brittle. Therefore, when the tool cuts in or out, it is prone to chipping, which will damage the tool or produce waste workpieces. The chilled cast iron roll has strong hardness and thermal strength, so if the tool works continuously for a long time during cutting, the temperature of the tool will be too high, which will easily lead to deformation of the tool body or desoldering of the welding blade, resulting in tool damage.
